• Walk-Ins Welcome!

• Depending on availability, we will have model kits and basic tools available for first-time builders to try out and experience.

• If we run out of promotional items, Animeggroll will be in the booth next to our space, and will have a large variety of model kits available for sale, and we'll be happy to talk you through aspects of the build.

• We'll have a designated area available at our booth for folks to sit and build. There will be experienced builders available to help guide and provide advice.

• Registration: Conbini Mart Day 1 - 10am - 5pm (Please see registration link)

• Judging: Conbini Mart Day 2 - 10am - 1pm (If we run long we will let you know)

• Awards and prizes: 1:30pm - 3pm

• $10 For your first entry.

• $2 For each additional entry.

• Payment will be at the contest. Cash, PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp. Convention Center does have ATMs on-site.

• You MUST use a new form for each entry.

• Only works created by the applicant will be accepted.

• Proxy entries are accepted *ask judges for more details*

• Applicants who apply to each category shall be deemed to have agreed to these guidelines.

• ALL ENTRIES must consist of genuine BANDAI GUNPLA (Gundam Plastic Model) kits.

• If non-Bandai GUNPLA kits, parts, accessories, details, etc, are used for submitted works, they must be declared in the build description form at the time of application.

• Prohibited parts are any NON-BANDAI model parts such as; Kotobukiya, M.S.G. (Modeling Support Goods), and other NON-BANDAI properties.

• Raw construction materials like polystyrene sheets and use of putty is allowed.

• Undeclared prohibited parts will NOT be judged. If the judges determines that submitted works fall under the prohibitions and/or use an excessive amount of prohibited parts, the entry can either be shifted to the "Sci-Fi-Anime and Ordinance" category or be disqualified, at the discretion of the judges or contest administrator.

• Third party decals will be allowed. (Delpi Decal, G-ReWork, SimPro, MechaDecal, etc)

• In regards to dioramas and action bases; 3rd party parts are allowed, HOWEVER, PROHIBITED PARTS ARE STILL NOT ALLOWED TO BE USED ON THE MODEL KIT ITSELF, THEY ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO BE USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF SCENERY.

• It is possible to use the runners of genuine Bandai kits, plastic plates and putties for genuine Bandai kits. In addition, it is possible to use materials other than genuine Bandai kits if they have been processed in such a way that they do not preserve their original form. Otherwise, the parts will need to be stated in the build description as non-Bandai parts.

• It is HIGHLY recommended that the entries do not exceed 20" (H) x 20" (W) x 20" (D).

• Parts created using 3D printers will not be subject to examination in the judging process.

• Builds will be judged on a 30 point scale based the categories listed below:

  • Construction​

  • Panel Lining/Shading

  • Stickers/Decals

  • Topcoat/Paint

  • Posing

  • Custom Work

• All entries must consist of genuine Bandai kits.

• It is HIGHLY recommended that the entries do not exceed 20" (H) x 20" (W) x 20" (D).

• Only items found in the box may be used for the build.

• Panel liner, top coat, and Bandai Action Bases may be used.

• Kit’s instruction sheet or photocopy of such MUST ACCOMPANY the entry (placed under entry form). Instructions on any electronic device are NOT ACCEPTABLE.

• Seamline removal is allowed

• Re-scribing panel lines is NOT ALLOWED.

• Builds will be judged on a 25 point scale based the categories listed below:

  • Construction​

  • Panel Lining

  • Stickers

  • Topcoat

  • Posing

• This category is a free-for-all, anything is allowed:

  • 3D Printing​

  • Resin Parts

  • Metal Parts

  • Etc.

• Anime (robots, droids, fighting suit and other anime properties).

• Ordinance: basically anything else including spaceships, sci-fi vehicles.

• Builds will be judged on a 30 point scale based the categories listed below:

  • Construction​

  • Panel Lining/Shading

  • Stickers/Decals

  • Topcoat/Paint

  • Posing

  • Custom Work
